Sife Oy Terms of Service (Cleaning Marketplace)

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Sife Oy platform and services (the "Service") operated by Sife Oy ("us", "we", or "our").
Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned upon your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who wish to access or use the Service, including Customers (who book cleaning services) and Cleaners (who provide the services).
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you do not have permission to access the Service.
1. Description of Service
Sife Oy operates a technology platform that connects customers seeking residential cleaning services ("Bookings") with independent cleaning professionals ("Cleaners"). Sife Oy is not a cleaning company; we act solely as a marketplace and technology provider. The Cleaning Service itself is performed by the independent Cleaner.
2. Customer Obligations and Booking
2.1 Booking and Payment

All bookings are subject to availability. The final price shown during the booking process includes the cost of the Cleaning Service and the Sife Oy service fee.

Payment for the Booking must be completed by the Customer at the time of booking confirmation. Jobs are only posted to the Cleaner marketplace after successful customer payment.

The Service utilizes third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe, MobilePay). We are not responsible for any issues arising from the operation of these third-party services.
2.2 Access and Safety

The Customer is responsible for providing the Cleaner with safe and timely access to the property at the scheduled date and time.

The Customer must ensure the property is a safe working environment. Cleaners are instructed to refuse work that they deem unsafe or hazardous. In such a case, the Customer may forfeit the fee.
2.3 Cancellations and Rescheduling

Cancellations by Customer: Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made through the Service platform.

If a Booking is canceled more than 24 hours before the scheduled start time, the Customer may receive a full refund, or the booking may be rescheduled at no extra cost.

If a Booking is canceled less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time, the Customer may be subject to a late cancellation fee.

Unclaimed Bookings: If a paid booking remains unclaimed by a Cleaner 48 hours prior to the service time, Sife Oy will attempt to assign a Cleaner, reschedule the service, or issue a full refund to the Customer.
3. Cleaner Status and Compensation
3.1 Independent Contractor Status
Cleaners using the Sife Oy platform are independent contractors and are not employees, partners, agents, or joint ventures of Sife Oy. Cleaners are solely responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and professional conduct.
3.2 Cleaner Compensation
The Cleaner’s net earnings are calculated based on the total customer payment for the service, according to the following formula:
Net Earnings=(Total Customer Payment−13€)×80%
The remaining funds cover the Sife Oy service fee, administrative costs, and VAT (if applicable). Cleaners acknowledge and agree to this compensation structure.
3.3 Payouts
Sife Oy will facilitate the Cleaner's payout, typically on a weekly or monthly cycle, subject to the administrative process. Sife Oy reserves the right to withhold payment if a service dispute is under investigation.
4. Limitation of Liability and Disclaimers
4.1 Marketplace Disclaimer
You acknowledge that Sife Oy does not perform the Cleaning Services. We are solely a referral and booking platform. Any claims arising from the quality or execution of the Cleaning Service itself are the responsibility of the Cleaner.
4.2 Limitation of Damages
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sife Oy, its affiliates, agents, directors, and employees shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including without limitation damages for loss of profits, goodwill, data, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

The use or the inability to use the Service.

The conduct or content of any Cleaner or Customer on the Service.

Any damage to property arising from the Cleaning Service, which is the direct liability of the performing Cleaner.
Sife Oy’s maximum aggregate liability to any Customer or Cleaner for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, shall be limited to the amount of the last single service fee paid by the Customer or received by the Cleaner through the platform.
4.3 Property Protection
While Cleaners are generally insured and take professional care, Sife Oy strongly recommends that Customers take steps to protect valuable or fragile property by securing it or removing it from the areas to be cleaned.
5. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.
6. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Finland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
7. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page. By continuing to access or use our Service after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
